A Mid-Prairie High School student has been elected the FFA Southeast District Northwest Vice President. Junior Bridget Fisher earned the position after making her individual presentation at the FFA district convention in Mediapolis. Mid-Prairie FFA Advisor and Agricultural Education Instructor Elsa Schmidt reports Fisher was also approved for an Iowa FFA Degree along with fellow students Anna Nafziger and Carmen Sieren. The Mid-Prairie High School FFA Chapter is preparing a little differently for their district convention this Saturday. Mid-Prairie will compete at the Southeast District Convention at Mediapolis, but not in the fashion they’re used to according to Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA Advisor Elsa Schmidt, “Things are a little bit different this year because of COVID.
