New phone tower on hold for residents' consultation
Premium Content Subscriber only UPDATE: The new telecommunications tower proposed for the Northside of Mackay has been put on hold to allow time for local residents to have their say. The proposal would grant Stilmark Holdingâs a lease of council-owned land in Gillhams Park at 5 Gemini Drive in Andergrove for $20,000 a year. Stilmark has applied to build the 35m telecommunications monopole to increase the quality of services for 4G and 5G networks including Telstra, Optus and TPG (formerly Vodafone).
