Spain's gas demand fell 4% in the first quarter of the year as a drop in use to produce electricity and keep homes warm during a mild winter offset a higher industry requirement, gas grid operator Enagas ENAG.MC said on Tuesday.
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia comprised almost 26% of Spain's gas imports in March, up from 14.4% a year earlier, confirming that the Iberian country is a key entry hub for Russian gas into Europe.
