Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa praised the exceptional efforts made by Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in serving pilgrims and visitors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
he Minister said that the precautionary and preventive plans taken by the Saudi government at an early stage in the emergence of the pandemic contributed to achieving great success in organising the reception of pilgrims and enabling them to perform Umrah.
Islamic Affairs Assistant Undersecretary Dr Muhammad Taher Al Qattan said that the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Department authorised 264 buses for Umrah trips on the King Fahad Causeway last year.

MANAMA — The new-look King Fahd Causeway Mosque has on Wednesday reopened its doors after undergoing renovation work costing 1.2 million Bahraini dinars (SR10.2 million approximately), the Bahraini News Agency reported.
Bahrain's Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa deputized Sunni Endowments Council Chairman Dr. Rashid Al-Hajeri to inaugurate the revamped mosque.
The opening ceremony was also attended by King Fahd Causeway Authority Chief Executive Officer Emad Almohaisen and a number of other officials.
