In that respect? i think certainly in the last 5—10 years we have seen greater investment in dementia research but will still have some way to go, but what the research is showing as we need to intervene earlier. we are currently trying to treat the symptoms of dementia much too late into the disease. it is like trying to treat late stage cancer, and all we can do help people live a little better with it. what we need to do is to be able to diagnose these diseases much earlier, probably 15—20 years before we are now, stop the disease in its tracks and allow people to live a healthy, longer...
