Delhi HC gives SpiceJet February 15 deadline to pay lessors $4 million

The HC has warned the airline that in the event it does not pay the money, it will be constrained to pass orders in the application seeking the engine's grounding.
The inspection is to be carried out once at the time of grounding of the engine and once at the time of re-delivery of the engine. The court further asked SpiceJet to maintain status quo with respect to the engines after grounding them, excepting for purposes such as refurbishing the engine among others
Rejecting an affidavit filed by the airline’s general manager (legal), the court said that the document should be filed through a person, who could be held accountable if the company fails to meet its payment obligations.
