Al Ghamdi named new Saudi Petro Rabigh CEO
RIYADH, December 23, 2020
Saudi Arabia s Petro Rabigh, a joint venture between state oil giant Aramco and Japan s Sumitomo Chemical, has appointed Engineer Othman Ali Al Ghamdi as the new chief executive effective January 1, 2021, replacing Nasser Al Mahasher, who resigned from his post recently. 
 
An industry veteran with over 30 years of diversified experience in refining and petrochemical business, Al Ghamdi had various assignments in wholly-owned refineries, domestic JVs, and Saudi Aramco International JVs at China and South Korea. 
 
Othman is currently the CEO at Saudi Aramco Mobile Refinery (Samref), a post he has been holding since July 2019. Prior to that, Al Ghamdi was the CEO of S-Oil Corporation at South Korea from September 2016 to June 2019, said the company in a statement.  ....
