B.b.c. Radio. To get everyone let's. Get. say that I'm told off to the house like. They're up and moved to it we did a terrible thing this morning that we had these together didn't mean we did it. It's not that. This is what it was we sat and watched the screen which was previewing b.b.c. South west t.v. That's right yeah. Let's put it in yes and Heidi who does our news site often on the show she was waiting to go on and she didn't know that she was being previewed you did the really naughty thing of actually taking a picture of it and yet you videoed it because she was sitting there putting their makeup on going through. All your blusher and and it's really odd to see a news presenter in their studio not being a news presenter not just shuffling the papers or broadcasting Bursey just sitting there putting makeup on and like picking their nose and saying oh yeah you're saying that he wasn't picking had a well he did she wouldn't pick that one. Me for that through the whole story that Michael had as Michael Jackson pick his nose from a catalog. Like it thank it doesn't work so well now he said he no longer here. I saw in Plymouth the Smalling by the way good morning patch up for Fitz Hello I saw him playing with a small in the name of a road which made me go wow. And you can you repeat it yeah the road was cold because I could have slightly longer him on the road yeah yes nearby Yeah yeah it is it's called the road I passed in thought hang on they put that there exists only in the last 3 days they put that they're fairly my ride into work Monday morning they're arriving late thing. And then 2 in a row come along the same time just like a bus. Did you did you hear the photocopier during the golden hour but you compare because I actually thought it was playing music during the cold now the photocopier but I found I was just the paper jamming. They are the I don't think of this when he worked on that note pad I worked on that you over night thank you Pat. You're very welcome Haley. On the show today loads of great gags like that yes indeed and some good guests as well yes Gabby rolls in the Mets All right will be here because Mets all right and Gabby's no. You know get that's exactly why they're on the go to new sort of tell each other doing together which is no to the show but they said kind of extending in this day oh yeah this of the new Yeah the Saturday show that's going to be on more than Saturday so I don't think it has actually has no effect. On my hands up yet but I mean you know the facts I thought. Oh there we go. Today that's the plan but before that it's in about 4 or 5 minutes time after this next song we're going to be speaking to somebody who I adore when I was about 15 years old and I was a holiday camp and all this song for me very exciting when she kicked off a career with songs like the one that Simon played in Goldmember as well that's right young lady's name is Kiki Dane and she's playing live in Devon We'll find out where in just a moment. This a while and they're around your neck of the woods tomorrow yes you will you come down to our dice hall in beautiful tomorrow night and the acoustic set the you do with come l o Yes that I would listen to hours if you're playing it's beautiful string arrangement is an absolute just a gorgeous song and it's such a great singer I have ever spoken to you so it's a pleasure to me thank you to yeah we do it acoustically and there is the song stands up even then you know without the arrangement. It's brilliant you know so for me alone who come out of it because you've been touring your acoustic lifestyle for almost 2 decades now we've come our you know I mean we mess up other time in both our music careers if you like when we both wanted to get into doing something a bit different and we hooked up and wrote some songs and we went out acoustically which was a bit of a shock at 1st you know all the spaces and the silences that you don't get a rock pop. To love it over the years and we get a great vibe with the audience and every share is different which is which is lovely Ok and a mystery to us a son named Larry. Jerry so what is what has he done before he met you I mean was he as it wasn't as big as you because I haven't heard of him as much you know I mean he was one of those people that. Had the ability to talent and he worked with Bill Wyman he had a couple of and and Bill Wyman was involved in production you know they had problems with record companies like a lot of our to stow and there was an element of luck to who makes it and who doesn't Oh absolutely and it was with loads of people and he was very keen cyclist actually And so I think he took up cycling. You know during those periods when the music business was a guy might see him and he does it now so that now we have Chris Boardman on the show just a plugging National Cycle to work day so probably come early will be able to do some cycling when he's down here in the West Country Oh yeah he is so funny he was saying to me yesterday oh hello the cough so full you know we've got so much to carry and I said and he said don't put my bike in the tub. Quitman yet you know when people do come someone at the West Country they do feel like they should have a bite with them I was walking yesterday and felt like I should have my mountain bikes with a fan testing. It To The guy who well there's no doubt now you mention a few seconds ago you said you know some people you know make it a big way and I was done in a way your kind of responsible full Elton John 40 years ago having his 1st number one with you on it is he couldn't have won without you. And this is 40 years ago this is this really is my youth it's the summer the long hot summer of 197640 years ago and I'm a Datsun children's holidays in ways that bar none saying that. That was good that was it was all right enjoyed it they sent us away for a week or so and we just mix with loads of kids from other countries in the so boarding school it was great fun and I went out and bought your record on 7 inch vinyl and I can even remember the shop I bought it in this is how. My memory is looking back at something that you have a great fondness for. It was called th sparing it was a newsagent's lot of w.h. Smiths type place now a new Milton in Hampshire and that's right your record and and I kept it you know in the bottom of my suitcase until I got home because I didn't have a record player played on holiday although I. Think does definitely have time memories doesn't. Absolutely place. The so many stories around that some but one of my favorites is I met Elvis is still 2 in London when she was 19 I don't know what she was doing a string fellows but she was there anyway one of the night that you know him now because it's a strip joint now. He came up to me and I couldn't stop looking at her eyes because they were just like those you know and she said I used to hate you and I said was she because I was completely in love with Elton John. Kind of. Wasting our time. So you still pounds with Elton Yeah I mean what we kind of you know we don't mix in the same circle who mixes it out and. I'm like my life tends to be I don't really hang out with a lot of celebrities you know I like my real life and so whenever I see him it's like yesterday which is the son of a true friend I think so the people you know your friends they call you Pauline or Kiki I usually get key key key that he can get Ok but no polling. I casually Ok I'm just like I'm being reprimanded I get. As I get Patrick so they go for moments that's good good so the the West Country for you what is it come drought for you your come here tomorrow when you get here early would you stay a bit longer will you enjoy what we have to offer in this beautiful part of the world well we've got 3 shows you've got one tonight in Dorset one in Devon tomorrow and then one in Comal for Saturday Ok So based on this trip that particular trip we were really have a lot of time. You know it'll be there's always tomorrow isn't there absolutely not a day now I'm sorry that I've got I've got some friends down that way actually and so being up at some point over the next 3 days. Is going to be quite fun I'm really looking forward to meeting the audience so what songs to me expect in the sticks set then what are you going to hear the key songs I'm a means to me. Yeah slow down with a sort of slow down version which is fun and and then you'll have a Tiriel and you'll have covers from Kate Bush Frank Sinatra Wow it's quite eclectic and how long is the set Well we used to do about 2 hours we did go on the back and that we did 2 steps you know within one set and then we had a break Ok and that everybody gets Have a drink and yes it's quite fun I quite like the sound of the having an intermission in your job it's quite nice and it's nice and it gets come alive chance too because he's a whole band and he has to reach you know with the guitars he plays in a lot of what they call open tunings where you know the notes are old and c. Get more of the ring and you get more of the beat. So he does a lot of moving around the guitar I don't know how he does it actually Ok so what's the best way to get tickets for this for tomorrow night then I think to go to keep him calm mellow dot com or go to the. I can't say that I thought he. I think it's I would I say it's spelled differently than the England manager it's a double e r d. Y the I see is supposed to be y c which Sam is but the advice all in beautiful would have the tickets and Kiki income dot com Now would be that similar not the no the since it's left and will be fun to get a few more people and there we are and it says here on your actual website that 2013 was a landmark year for Kiki Dee seeing you celebrating 50 years in music I know it's scary isn't it thank goodness I started so early. When I started when you were one . I can't believe are fantastic You look I'm looking at your images now on Google I think you are brilliant even to this day so I will not say about I'm numbering up you know keep on keeping on as I say absolutely you know you got the music and you will listen thank you so much for coming on News a pleasure to talk with you and I. Thank you honey and the advice whole bit of for tomorrow night that's the important one with Dorset in Comal the other side of the main one here in Devon absolutely there we are thanks for coming thank you so much by Fidel. Destroying some out well on. The stunts and see who gets arrested for. Positive conception and then next Wednesday night at 9 on b.b.c. 4 Good morning b.b.c. Radio Devon Paramount's here covering fits this week so it's my penultimate day assignments it is somehow doesn't it I don't know because at the end of the day people my face know what I say yeah that they would have missed that they will miss faith if it goes so cool of you. Being all business and would you be the baker or the butcher clerk that's misfits is the immovable things across a song like a baker's head in a butcher's bottom. Of this it's true yes Bush is real but his when they are wrong that we get there we are so where was it nobody that I went to the like it's not noted tool called by beautiful place on the weather was gorgeous yesterday off today with an it went exploring it was good I wanted to try out the the bridge the table and what did you think of it well I guess I could mentioning it and I thought I'd better go over and see what it's like I thought it was great all the way in the cold because it was free and all the way back was one pound 50 to pay yes a little money to go one way. Home and go to there is another where you can go around but it takes a bit longer and I saw with you I got offered a chance on the road to go to the top point ferry or yes and I thought well I won't do that because I heard there's a need to running all 3 running or 12 relieving every day going to the nearest dealer in a delay on their way out works so I went over the bridge and I thought Oh Michael you know bit like the. You know I carry cash Oh do you know me cash Well I found some in the bottom of my little luminous rucksack and there was about one pound 50 on the there was no make so I didn't have it ready oh yes they do get very funny about that and I actually had to tell us I got to give them a telling me again yeah that listing off of them was my card and he said I'll take cards I really think gold's just crush any thing in the next 5 years they'll take contactless payments about 5 years. Or a bit through the next I got to London I went to London a few months back and what do you think of. Limits and stuff oh yes and. All these people everywhere not just on the bus. Yeah we've money forget it and at that time and money by cutting countries I didn't have contact less I didn't have an Oyster card I had to get off the bus that can go on and also I didn't can believe nothing happening down here yet so you have money but you can use a bit yeah I can't believe is that yeah yeah if you Yes I think the devil Ok but I went over the bridge and I went to Lou Always beautiful isn't it Louise beautiful you know my cup of buzz that you that well you know one called Lou Thank. You to full time was nice too. Sorry to be 70 Cornish. Cornish pasty had a past and like I said to me it was that quite late as about 5 o'clock and he said to me guess all they were to use now they just won 50 so and it was still hot so I said but I have to cite to you he's because I have only lunch but I married him but then I didn't have any dinner either after that as you can imagine out to the Cornish pasty which should be really cool Devon pasties just to keep on side here all day beautiful just taking people were actually yeah one after the other which you did I did yeah even the pastry on the side having the pig the bit that's got no meat or any hand side it even that's delicious in that site taste. You can't beat them you're not going to get that where I live are you going to take. Up the Macao which then you won't want to think that we'll be squashed when in the post 9 get let's box them yeah I know you need friends that used to have. The parents of the moms make them a cake and they send in the post these to miss them. And we still have a delivery Yeah. Business and. Anyway today on the show we have apart from Kiki was already been gone if you missed I'm sorry she was on for a chat because she's playing better for tomorrow night Gabby and Matt All right are going to be here discussing their new t.v. Show that they're doing together and Nick Fletcher as well who is a local author I believe from our intent to head today I guess but some day so I might give Nicholas home yes you can if you really are you can also give the thoughts a break so let's go well I went there when I was a kid probably 10 years old and I think it was fantastic because it really had an awful lot as I remember as a child a lot of amusement arcades still got that yet now I think that has quality but he didn't think over the other side it was that entertaining that you want to tame a bowling and entertainment center I didn't go over that. Very good. Doesn't like arcades anymore but I loved them when I was a kid you know you get back to the old style chick trick on the t.v. Machine. Is probably going to be how to use my contactless called me up a day. So that's coming up and so do the travel they'll let you travel do the travel now because it's just after 1030. The latest traffic and travel news from Devon's radio station. Radio. And in Farringdon on the 3 o 52 we have reports of an instant need to be 31849 okes cross in Alberton vinery lane is closed where it goes over the stream due to road works from chauffeured road in Morton Hampstead. A 15 minute. Should you be the least bit interested in my tour of the Southwest I had to go to a beach yesterday where when I finally got down the exit took so long to get down as well can pass all these people's quaint little houses on the sort of cliff top and there they got all post boxes they had a poster must have a terrible time delivering to lame guys like me to one of the bottom and they got to get right back up the top again I was 9 I think that I would go down to the beach and there was a guy there with his daughter and they were doing some surfing and he said to me goes oh how are you studying and I said was kind of you know off thank you he said the reason I ask is because the tide is coming in and you will be trapped. And I thought wow this is interesting so I say about 20 minutes and then I had to climb over some rocks because the water was lapping up against them and I had to climb up rocks to get up and climb a hill and it was difficult and flip flops well to venture I know. But I was I was missing my son in New York and showing him my adventure and just because she was sued for interest I know I think I am I am adventurous and I enjoyed it I liked it I liked the fact that the tide was coming in it was like being in should she said that yeah that's illegally I was telling the story of Baron von Baum. During the tare. We were. Experiencing my Baron von Braun pose for the 4th is that in your yes as anybody takes the show Haley we've had some interaction already left to right some of the b.b.c. World we've had some interaction has very little if you're certain people giving you a show half. So yes we have he's got in touch since this morning Pat can't believe I'm listening to. He this morning I saw many choices I used to watch you on Funhouse all the time as a kid I'm now 30 while not that I'm trying to make you feel old or anything but we get more of you on b.b.c. Radio Devon keep up the good work well it's very common you will see some of you aren't and thank you and I will be your dick and together we will get for the day that we are coming to remember me from that old school show. Back in the day I suppose it was. 9 Yeah you started it you know and finished it sort of just into 2000 so it ran for a while a lot of kids then yeah I would know you from them got a generation of kids have now grown up and had kids and their kids now what's the challenge T.V.'s the throne that yeah the repeats or they just sit on I suppose in a way the new t.v. Halley these days You Tube is not for people to see sat up straight it's probably have probably legit upsides on that now yeah just good Really so what if you know if and when you want to take in a style to trip down memory lane or just go on Youtube and it's all there for you thanks for and who else we have warned him about at that site who they are that some high tame patch of used to ferry on his way home from Cole down in Devon Paul it's all Ok so there you are Devon post but the very same doc's in Plymouth side so yeah he said he should have used the ferry Well I suppose I could do that so he could not believe me that if I do that today I have to straight back in the cold more trying to stay more Devonian Yes Ok now you're on your god's bricks and today I have to thank you the other way and then cut but his golden touch and he just simply says lovely Bret. As he told you I did if you talk about lovely bread and cold water will do you want to elaborate come back in touch and tell us what you mean by that to give us a call my friend because I know I hear what you're talking about maybe just me Oh I know it's probably a bake off the might be yes it really be talking about the money but Channel 5 a pretty lovely braid for yeah yeah payday Yes they paid $75000000.00 pounds now for 3 years of it $25000000.00 a year they're going to have it. Go with a lot of money is there and. Mary has said or her son has said that Mary is staying with the b.b.c. All not paying but suddenly she's Get off my back about that he's a loser he won't go Libby the same little 3000000 SUV already gone and then marry a bake off without Mary Berry surely the b.b.c. Could make now a new program we are told he wouldn't just for the Great British Bake Off call it something else it was because it's that dynamic that what they call it. Well they are this is what we should only let go of yes suggestions for you. Right so the b.b.c. Keep the show as in the idea with the original presenters Paul and Mary but they can't call it The Great British Bake Off because that name is now being taken by the people who bought it which is Channel 4 from live productions so what would be the new name of a baking show on the b.b.c. I would say just off the cuff banking on the babe. That well you know like that yeah yeah well I don't want to head now I thinking Ok good banking on the baby is good for me if you want to text us at one triple 3 Start Your takes with the word Devon obviously less know who you are and where you are and although you are starting to come a nice b.b.c. Radio Jaffer it's the 1st Devon Dalby of the season eccentricity still without a lead point in the season take compliments for looking for the 7 win in a round of the live from a day with the build up on live commentry then from 3 to 10 of the 2 did they welcome the queen's to Sandy Park and to travel to board all the action is to be a dramatic afternoon of b.b.c. Radio Devon this Saturday from a b.b.c. Radio Jabba. Show just after 11 o'clock today from b.b.c. Radio Devon. Her. Her. Her. Her. So you see singing to them if you have some of them your. Wife is thinking. You know his future wife is imaginary why he's got one though he has got one now this before. Thinking a hold out you had that one person in life that you can be with the one the one soulmate. The one who becomes a 10. Legged contend that was a good movie. You don't know that one night oh dear the youth of today she's riding on a big horse which is obviously what she's writing because not a motorbike not a lot of beaches and she is going to hair in that sort of braided sort of look like he's been in the Breville toaster you know that. Kind of seventy's meets eighty's and never. Need to catch up on things that you haven't caught up on I did was quite a lot actually I was born oh so how come you so young then. What parents had me at that time we were just started. They were quite young when they started themselves they were 202223 So your parents attained the Glee younger than me only. They are stay by nearly a ball about 7 or 8 years younger than us some believable and you know. They are very young parent they still in all the sports day races at school they were 10 years younger than I will be other parents of course fast breaks the mother's reaction and then yet for the last 10 years they've been enjoying themselves because someone brother and I have been able to look after ourselves obviously so since age of 1516 it is that I'm by something to do whatever you want and yeah they've been going on holidays without us and enjoying that good for them confirm sounds great I do actually. Have you come up with any suggestions for names if the b.b.c. Ought to make a new version of The Great British Bake Off now but it's going to Channel 4 they make their own version with Paul and Mary Yes I happen I'm still thinking oh a good one what about what about this for me or if you go cooking with gas. Bond film thinking I want something a bit sort of funny or better better always that way and I'm just going to try to be positive cooking with gas means like really good very cooking with gas it's. Not what the show's already so no a laid back is thing indeed Ok what's not got Crystal Crystal in Paignton is going touched or prestige that we should call the new show buns in the oven buns in the oven I think it is very good and what are sounding like Paul and Mary having a baby or baby together we don't understand he really is there if I think about is Paul Hollywood he's clearly a lot younger than Mary Berry Yes And yeah he's a lot grayer than married yet so you know all right I have this you know right. I'm not she must be pretty close I'm not sure I have to check the temperature on the other. Very good I think she's she's at least 200 do yes. That's how you can not get soggy bottom soggy bottom to thaw people so sorry saggy So you know if you want to you know the thing that gives it away from Mary there and anybody who is a bit older but is looked after themselves maybe had a bit of help not that I'm saying she had to go it's the neck if you look down the neck Janek is very creepy stuff showing Kelly apparently there's nothing you can do now my daughter works for big advertising agency in London and she's on the L'Oreal account and they are now at this very moment looking into designing the equivalent of a face cream but for the next oh yeah you're right it does give it away just you know men are women you can you can see that such a crinkle up you yeah you don't create a lot done it's no good for anybody not unless your chip indeed yeah. It's amazing having back is for you know I'm just being conversational that's what came into my you said we don't want to do it when you think of crinkle you think of Kringle Cratchit do you that's why I was merely giving you my observational observation and then you forget I wish I had fits his vocabulary though so I could say well who me to look at chips were made in 1967 for the 1st time in the morning to I once went there for dinner with a critical count. Not only no I just he said I know only terrible and so brilliant I mean for the formative and you just feel safe with him don't you he did absolutely and you feel like you're on a diving board about a drop off you know where we're giving to each other and this could go any way indeed but we'd like it to guy for the listeners to get in touch and to give us their own baking show title suggestion yes absolutely no weapons yeah yeah that's what we want you can call us 183-453-0118 extension 3 full you can text us your message with the what Devant 8123. Social media Facebook dot com forward slash b.b.c. Radio Devon You can tweet us at b.b.c. Devon or you can tweet past. The usual number of 34532829 so what did I go wrong Harvey trying to find Now you did really well when you got that you just need to. Go down a little. The military practice that. I didn't say. About 20 minutes and then you'll be trapped the way used to check in . London as you know. It's not much of a good idea. To. Move to the. Area it's running across from. Ferry that goes across that. Running they're. Going to put the Trip Advisor into google and see what comes up. Thank you very much. Well it was an. Elaborate. Look. Look look look. Cookies. Live. Live. Live . Live. Live . Live. Live. Live. Live. Live. Live. Live. Live. Live. Live Good morning from patch covering Fitzy show here at b.b.c. Radio devilish where you have. A bit of a holiday as well in the West Country beautiful place to be a thank you for joining us now on next 2 guests are going to be introduced lightly differently compared to how I introduced all the other guest they swayed by giving us a lot of detail synopsis on everybody because they've done so many telly shows they so familiar to us I'm ready for that metaphor one of them we're going to let them introduce themselves Gaby amat That's Gabby rose in a matter All right welcome to the show and go on Gaby you 1st oh my goodness how I got the role Glenn and I'm telling you the radio was my partner in crime on the fact that they said 9 o'clock on Channel 5. My name is Matt writes. Feel like I'm not some kind of. Addict Well I live far too long now and I'm lucky enough to get a show with the wonderful liquid sunshine Gaby Grossman very well considering you are not in the same place obviously no no. Well you know it's sounds like you're both hovering around one phone just passing the sort of the pastries are you talking are so they get so you're in different places but over the years I mean look the big break 1st I'm rogue traders and Children in Need and watchdog and motor mouth and this and you've done it all haven't you between you one side of you missed the pot shop Well thank you Gabby I've had my moments but it's a pleasure that you think about Oh. Actually I know I. Very recently we did the campaign night as. 3 of. You know people to me when you're talking about. We had Jason and Kylie and that I'm awake actually they were all on stage and we got into some. Christmas as well and and Pat McCann She did a medley of our hits as well didn't we and we always a very lucky I remember. It was a bit scary that but thank you Matt for. Member ing fun house you're very kind man and welcome to the show that he's now I suppose in a way excited about your new Saturday show only because you don't need to change the names because you've still got a man haven't you Gabby. Is easy that way you know said This man is one I've known for many years and I have always respected in the dough and he is the new c.s. Man he really is he's the twinkle in his eye is worse than I think even Terry was because he and my all right has there is like a naughty schoolboy which I love because I'm like a naughty schoolgirl my sense of humor is. Straight out of a laboratory. Straight from the Carry On movies and I've I found a partner in crime I couldn't be happier with and I wish we don't have to find the key. In between like an ad breaks in little bits like that if I say something that's so outrageous that you then spend the rest of the program really worrying that I'm going to say on that and I think that's the key clue so I said no if you say something that you really don't want me to say I think you've learnt now you say yes we have Bonnie Langford own and in the outbreak he whispered to me you know she was my 1st crush and I said really and then came back and said she blushed He blushed and he couldn't believe I said I think I might have let my life and you know is to the to the 3 major forms of communication on television telegram and so Gabby Roselyn. It's going to be on the telly very good. But you have this repertoire because you work together on food inspectors on b.b.c. One didn't you yes we did well actually the only thing we did physically did together on that was a day of being photographed by dustbin. And I don't think so it was grim that was very odd that that was the strangest part as you have they said you don't mind if we're going to photograph you by the barrons and you've got to hold up a pizza and I can say I've got we Telegin everybody knows I have talked. Of Mighty Ducks to eat it and then. On the floor. That show was places they'd send me into dreadful places that we knew that food hygiene problems and then id. You know be foolish in telling people not to do this. So we cannot do. The Saturday show is on Channel 5 and so tell us about this sort of suppose it's a t.v. Husband wife relationship with me it is my my my wonderful t.v. Husband as I said is very naughty but we get to do great things on the show it's sort of Saturday morning telly that I think people of a missing for a long time we have great guests will sit around and sort of like you asking somebody round and he will have a giggle to get you discussing things even begun a week plus there's the madness and mayhem going on you know a couple weeks ago we did Bollywood dancing this this week with foraging with foraging and we're going to be eating anything in the studio as far as I can gather . But we've got some great gas and we got a min raise everybody's favorite came on the show actually just a couple of days ago to talk about the new Channel 5 show the millionaires one yes so they are trying something on talk about the good times yeah and we've got. It coming on and out and Charlie condé who used to be on Khari. Scallop hold it wonderful and we've also got oh Adam's new wife in cold feet and if you watch coffee I'm obsessed I was obsessed before and I love it now was so nice is my 15 year old daughter is watching it with me and I want to see a movie which you know as. New wife she's going to be on our show as well I think you summed it up really well Gabby because I think what television has been missing is what you know you did so well back in the in the ninety's almost a mouth and stuff and then I went on to do with yeah the one that followed the inmates stone and 7 that the kids t.v. For kind of adults as well is missing because everything is just cooked. Shows on a Saturday morning now so you're kind of mixing it all up and doing in a way Saturday morning telly but for adults I suppose yeah that's what we want that we met really or just think you know I think that that's so daft this we all grew up with that in the seventy's and eighty's it was yes and now it's now set state but not on that I don't know that and you know you miss a bit of doest on a Saturday morning just to remind you that it is that we can agree you know when you've got you've got a whole 2 days with people that you love and you know you can just muck about with and so you know trying to start on that as a bit of joy and a bit of Daphnis is copyrighted and I think you people relate to you guys that you actually get on well together they feel that they're part of your sort of Saturday morning family don't they the city has yes they have so I mean we do we do get on ridiculously well very quickly so we're very lucky I mean you can't you can't say can't really s f Yeah I mean you've worked with enough people as well Pat you know what it's like the fight the man I just have the same sense you and you know I'm to be honest we love television I'm at the I'm a big kid so I really am addicted to television but also all families come 1st the way quite normal really when the cameras go off sort of normal you know so I think I think you call kids people on the television I think that that is my fight to somebody saying oh. You. Can't lie to people I think the television does tell the truth the set of the show has to be live for you too doesn't it wouldn't work if it was recorded you think you know and there's always going to it's going to feel like things that can happen not supposed to happen you know there's no point prerecorded show like that because you want people to be with you in that moment I don't so we get our audience involved you know we see what they're up to we send out commands to them to send us pictures and they come back in and tell us and that's really that's a really lovely thing to do to see you know our immediate family of the people on the on the sofa with us in the studio but there's people out there. feeling 'd the same thing that you can because so co-opt and you see what they're up to which is good when the only show on television actually we get to see the view is so we feel very blessed I'll selfie shell feet is stink I mean it's it's actually a lovely thing and that's the thing that lot of people stop me about no thank you share my photo id as if I'd known I was going to see them on the tube. Oh no problem. I love that idea like yeah it's great Hopefully it's a very stressful show would match and Gabby be happy to be the new Melanie. No no actually 1st time I've been asked today I know. That's the challenge that is very poisoned and melons the magnificent that's it it's my one of my favorite shows I've been a big fan of ever since the very beginning but. You know it's something you know I don't know about Matt but I'm. Just something like that you leave it honestly even fixed and we leave it the b.b.c. Is with the crew should be as far as I'm concerned not that it matters what I think but but you know I think I think that in secret absolutely right across the that was that was a good way of leaving as you could possibly imagine and you know I don't think he's a toxic cupcake to take that one opposing when I see both up to. Well on doing finished housing in forces which is not so quite serious have to go and find out about the housing crisis is about you know this is what still coming up. It's going to keep me quite busy so that I did the last rail Saturday Night Live on a.b.c. Once I did 2 channels on one day so I got an morning job a night job that sounds slightly dodgy when I say I'm Damon my night job. They often in Radio London still for years been doing that my own show Nielsen is which is great and then I've got another radio show which I'm a. Well to type new t.v. Show that starts another few weeks so yeah I very lucky yes I do count myself very lucky at the moment busy be up but you missed Mr Bergen as well that you could be here. Morial very soon I hope it's going to be a morning full of last I really do that's going to obviously pay loads of us that is going to be a very big event but. I hope that the family realize that he was like family to last as I said I want to them for 12 years and then he was the most and he was that I am so. She came I was a twinkle you know Terry was what he was like behind the same one day I might tell everybody to sort things he used to say that he was a good day I need to met him once and I didn't Never Mind The Buzzcocks with him when I went out to when I went Hi Yes or Terril Terry I think you know him so Terry and I said he won't I mean mine is part of the guest part of course I do and I didn't believe him for many places just very. Lovely even though he honestly with behind the scenes I could I was since 12 years we did tearing up the show and there were things that he said to me so I used to my mouth would drop onto the floor. Because he knew he'd show me on the shelf to me he was a know what. He meant to do with now so the Saturday show live on the telly Channel 5 Sunday morning at 9 absolutely will be there thank you for coming on Gus I have a great. Impact but. Like having a chat with Gabby there and Matt Matt so right he's your eyes in ink I'll be thrilled when both live yet you know. That I didn't do that when they were that they were great and I would have thought I was naff but they would I'm not you think it's fantastic in. The lead got to have. Me go and it's like remakes prices what do you do backflips you jump up there initially what do you do. You know last night all that would fill it up because you were just discussing the difference between Wu my jingle and. One of the records that I released yes charity but I didn't know about this vehicle until you cheated yesterday metaphor your own yes we did yeah actually yes I was expecting choice to come along. If you made if you could make 300000 pounds for charity from the records that we released back in the eighty's and ninety's for help a London child which is now of course it was a help to Devon child because that's where I am indeed So you know I will be passing on some of the benefits of that money to Devon children in the next 20 minutes or 5 with any spare change I've gone yes driver for micro pray for the théâtre bridge when I was 50 this bridge was built in the year I was born because it's written on it was yes it's not being 61 and they're still challenging. As it got it has gone up actually used to be a pound and it must be is to get out 34 years ago I had to do that you know those pound shops and look at 99 p. Store and yes and I always have a laugh because I always said if one of the says I'll put this to the spell my God how much your pal and yeah because I'm going to some went to a pound shop but yeah me and said How much is nice is if the Happens all the time how much is that oh that's a pound. Surely you must realize that's what it's going to cost you so he wouldn't . Act at the Christie's 126th birthday today so I wouldn't discuss the stamp on course it would have been and we should be here if. You thought I'd say that I read the other day goal all mail online and there's no mistakes on Mail Online. So you know grammar problems and I read on there that somebody is allegedly had like a $145.00 somewhere in every single year and he's looked he looked old. 145 but they've got no proof they said there's not a record showing there and says he's 145 he's been eating berries since he was 67 or something good for him so she may not be the oldest person around a 126 she's around. The reason we mention this is she's from torquey obviously and there is Agatha Christie stamps right yes fight to commemorate commemorate really yeah it's a 100 years actually 17 or. Of her 1st detective novel as well this year. And talky so we thought we'd talk about it as well good Ok and local all through as well we've got Nick Fletcher coming in to chat about his new Yeah that's right and trying to push the book with over here it's called a mess lost revenues which for a moment it was because it's on the other side of the studio you will have to know if that be the other last poems I read one of these 2 you call them it's not important that we know who we are life are shaped so to love and sometimes like of it past lives leave indelible stains and scars on our fragile emotional facade who we are now maybe someone we want to change but what is important is that we remember who we once were. Mourning team oh or that fix would lie moved you should be yeah to another studio. Out of the building and. Also before we go into the travel Yes I don't like to read a couple of messages we've had from listeners talking about Bake Off going to Channel 4 and we're talking about how if there was another baking shell b.b.c. While with Mary Berry Madden see what would it be called with a couple of suggestions I think Christo suggested buns in the other light that you like cooking with getting with gas Carol as texts she simply says Ready Steady bake that works I like no other way to say. Yep that one works mom is going touch Hey loving the show was about have your cake and eat it that's yeah we're going to get one you know I thought. Well kind of I like the chosen by the like I like the poster for the shaker to have a bomb the whole quest bond holding a lightsaber of something that's very good it's not a good lesson thought up by myself now that is really good thanks so text to him if you could because I'm not going to read Alice she did fight and also another text message at the end she just says to us you've been talking about your trip to go. Today. In that. But. With the tide coming in he had to climb up a few rocks to get back up the cliff top yes. You know head of the truck because he's. On the Case. You need to understand the tide because we need you for the rest of the week but that's very kind of all the tragedies actually been through the wood tides course I have been terrible in the news over the last few weeks and some very sad losses so yeah but I think what it was is when I went down there there were people on the beach and he just said it's really you know you've got an hour left after 20 minutes so when the water was lapping by my feet but I can understand that the tragedies that happened were people who were actually swimming and I didn't even go in the water so it wasn't that he said Absolutely so I have got a great song by a supply in a 2nd I should do the travel 1st actually so I will do that now and the supply song will suit Nick Fletcher's book which we're going to talk about later when he comes in the local author last avenues and laugh poems because it's going to be out of love what a song that is to get on in the next few minutes but 1st of all let's check the travel now just gone 1130 from b.b.c. Radio Devon. The latest traffic news from Devon's radio station. Radio. And Patch up covering Fitz Good morning between at Thring Turner and Rock Hill that the b. 32 to 7 is closed due to robotics in Morton have stayed on the a 382 near the hole in the road works in temporary traffic lights to Sheldon ferry is in service till 4 o'clock today. On the train service is suspended on Great Western Railway between extra. Due to electrical supply problems traffic is busy all the time operates this one lane closed heading into Devon for engineering works and there's a 15 minute wait running at top point if there's a travel story we're not talking about place course on. 034530282 no b.b.c. Radio shock. And here it is as Here is a small and I know. Our recent change in the low means if you watch any b.b.c. Programmes on b.b.c. . T.v. License. You already couldn't have. Any. Less to be less shouting about. But if you don't have Today would have been Agatha Christie's 126th birthday the queen of crime. Here in Devon is the biggest selling novelist of all time and 2016 also marks the centenary of the author writing her 1st detective story so to commemorate this a new set of 6 special stamps is being launched today marking the timeless characters and mysteries that she created and joining me to have a chat about this is Philip Parker who is and I like this title for this is good stamp strategy manager at Royal Mail thank you thank you very much what's an impressive title it's not easy to say though stamp a strategy manager is quite Yes it's a mouthful but yeah but welcome to the show so what's made you want to commemorate Agatha Christie then with the. Romell Well she's quite simply the world's biggest selling author 2000000000 books sold over the last 100 years. And incredibly influential in this whole the whole crime novel area she invented so many of the plots and so many other things like the locked room mysteries she invented so much of this and we've all decided time that we celebrated we've never issued any stamps knocking her contribution and so saying that it's 100 years since the 1st story in the 100 years since she invented Paro who is one of the most famous figures in literature before we did shoot stamps but stamps with quite a twist to them fantastic Ok And how many you know other people have you made special stands for is this a regular occurrence or not. Well we have hundreds of requests every year to do stamps all manner of topics it's not often that people of the focus of them apart from say the Queen or the royal family Shakespeare had a stamp earlier this year devoted himself. But it 100 year anniversary of the 1st novel of the right of a story is quite an amazing sort of thing to Mark and the stamps themselves have because Christie's art it's all about detection and mystery the stamps themselves have a lot of hidden things in them for people to date detect them selves. Be your own little detective with her stamp absolutely So for instance then we have 6 times of great novels like murder on the Orient Express but this particular stamp it looks very stylish like a little 938 steam train but if you look very closely you'll see her kewl Paros profile and then we've used very special print techniques that if you put your phone over. The stamp the heat of your thumb will reveal the dagger wielding direct and then also in the stamp are hidden the names of all the suspects on the train the. Interviews and investigates one by one these are all hidden meanings have got 6 times that have all of that sort of thing going on that's quite impressive I mean that's obviously technology because I can remember as a kid you know there waiting for a 1st day covers that we thought at 1st they cover. The produce today as we get so I commend you for that they would never have had something where you can have your you know your thumb over it in the heat of your hand would do something so how does that make it an expensive thing for you to actually have to to print is a must be something in there the maze that little more were suppose intricate than a normal stamp. In Reality is only a different sort of ink used in the printing process because we use very specialized printers that also their day job with usually printing banknotes So it's. Really very high end very high quality but they can also print very very fine details so the hidden across all of the 6 stamps are also an individual letter that spells out Agatha a.g.d.a. . Those are to be found and they're very very tiny but you need a magnifying glass if you look long enough you'll be able to find the so collectors are going have a bit of a field day doing that and we hope Agatha Christie fans as well and also the public if they have a baby see the letter with these times on they're going to take a closer look some of the other print technique we have is a very special sort of fluorescent ink so that if a u.v. Light ultraviolet light is shined on it like the kind of torch used to show security features on luggage and things like that then other things will emerge like a question mark oh numbers so it's a combination of the heat sensitive ink the kind of very fine micro text that we use as well as the. Disposal for us and they are all very specialized things that will to be found and we know the stamp issue combining all of the ins made stamps from here Philip really only hope so. One of our missions is to do that I mean people still have a great regard for role models times marking you know the great things Britons contributed to the world. Have hundreds of 1000 people still collect them but of course we have a study like this we hope the public will engage the fans of Ike of a Christie and those who want literature will want to have a look at them and the times are available today and post offices and also on our website Romell dot com forward slash Agatha Christie what can you tell us about the mail that he's posted in the box over the next few days site either the junction of Torchwood gardens road and Babycham road where we have a very special arrangement with that post box it's in. You know as you said town of Agatha Christie this particular post box all mail posted in the. Will receive a special handstamp to any post we can there will have a sort of unique handstamp relevant to Agatha Christie in the location. For 5 days from today until the 19th and that's on the box junction told gardens road and become road I think that's fantasy and probably most worth going there to post a letter I would think perhaps even to yourself I think that's a very good idea. That entirely really well listen thank you for coming on and just Really interesting. You know. I just think it's great I'm going to buy some stamps to that I'm going to go to the website. At the grocery which he did confirm at the end that I was right he did it yes you had his name yes and I'm going to get the details and see if I can get hold of some of those special stamps to celebrate little Miss talkies 126th birthday very good fuel tax coming in from listeners to it from toll points says which sounds as if some Pat Summitt that we say that this is only one sense and I loved it even though I'm going to try and yeah he's a star you didn't see it properly but I saw some. Date I will pass these people's houses they live like in the cliff top and the middle of the little letter boxes and things in this life and they say hello to you when you get a phone do you truly are in their god yeah they're very friendly that's beautiful as love to get invited for tea or anything well we had to pass these then yes you're right the wine lovers do. Ryan on Twitter has tweeted to say listening all the way from new car still sounding good job when you've made a mistake their goal might say it again right he's listening all the way from Newcastle No no go wrong what you say needs as you say Newcastle Newcastle all you can say you cancel Newcastle Newcastle Newcastle Newcastle and Castle Newcastle Yeah where the girls wear really really really really no clothes at all practically even when it's minus a Marine ring that yeah they want to go and you see them like this in the Mail Online going. There almost like it was so cold I guess that's because you know we're really close love you know the fates freezing new cafe Newcastle is that Newcastle Newcastle they set like Newcastle Newcastle Newcastle play your good work on that but have a great wealthy working day next week Pat any more bake off suggestions we have actually Mike has obviously been spending a lot of time this morning thinking of them because they're really good ones Ok he says and himself I think I've given it perhaps a bit too much there already so he says new title for the bake off should the b.b.c. Make their own programme now that the original British Bake Off has gone to Channel 4 and they will be able to call. That that's right yeah if Marion Paul or whoever stay with the b.b.c. And they make a new show it will be called What Well he's got 3 suggestions the 1st p. Cams poll and Mary very good yes 2nd Hollywood's tasty touch challenge really is no way to talk about Mary. And the 3rd That's probably my favorite Mary's marvelous my writings but he says if you read this and it's been nice knowing you pass well that's Ok because I didn't read it I read it yeah great thank you and I like that one the liberation in that last one yeah quests us lying isn't it Oh it is Mary's marvelous mirror and you can either fit his voice. Ready Devon's mid morning show Penshoppe in covering forfeits this week back on Monday and we'd love to hear from local authors as you know specially when Fitts does the show regularly especially those who mix it up with their writing styles now Nick Fletcher from Brick somewhere I intend to head to today I've been there for many years but got to go and see bricks in such a beautiful place is one of these such Office best known for his hard hitting crime thriller as his latest book is full of poetry and not just any old poetry love poems as well so pleased to say that Nate joins us now on the phone Hi Nick how are you well I'm very well thank you welcome to the show why the diversity in your. Skills of writing then well I think it was a long buried ambition really to to write poetry particularly back to relationships but I spent most of my career early on as a sort of crime reporter newspapers Eventually I moved on to features writing but latterly started writing some crime novels certainly not bestsellers but they do they are out there and as a complete contrast this is obviously another side of me and so I started to do poetry about love and you know revisiting the past relationships and so on. There Nic Yes Sounds interesting what you say the main thing that I'm interested about and you have to forgive me for one second before I get on to the book last avenues another love poems is the fact that you are these very moment in Brixton Well certainly that's where you're from I hope you're calling from the and that's where I think that's where I intend to go today have been since I was about 8 years old and for me being a bit of a tourist just down for a week in the southwest I'm thinking that is such a beautiful place my memories of all the the hell's ease in the cliff tops That's right yes there's. It's in a sort of deep cuts in the in the bricks and harbors and they have to stock up on both sides of it several tears ha you know often painted different pastoral colors and looks very attractive around the little harbor it does my dad did many and in all painting of brick some hobble when we were down there our member that to this day I think we've still got some of them so beautiful place but now more importantly back to your book now I've had my little moment there are bricks I'm lost avenues and the love poems I've already read one out to Hayley and she was quite impressed with the way I did it you know it's going to be. So and tell me about how you've got inspiration to write a poem I can't imagine where I would start. Well it's quite a tough question to answer that really I think what it is it's all down to doing observation and some people you know can look at just a seascape or even their own garden and see something beautiful about it and people sometimes like to try and capture that moment in just a few words because poems are not normally very long you don't have to write a novel about it you can just capture some moment or some feeling that it gives you when you say it and I've always found that the same thing with people. And consequently you know over over time I mean we've all had the odd broken heart in our lives I imagine and you put it on one side but kind of looking back on life now a little bit older and I thought I would try to capture a lot. The element of romance I think more than anything else in relationships and ups and downs of relationships and that's what I've done with this book would you say that all your poems are straight from the heart Oh yes I think they are yes yes you know I've tried to base them on either my personal experience or are someone very close to me and so they're all. You know they've all got a core of truth in them yes and because you're Devon based Are you keen to shout about Devon in your poems. Well it quoted a lot of the Devon landscape not just around Brixton but even further along. And inspired me sometimes to write perhaps not specifically about that particular part but sometimes going on a beach alone will walk him and dull go all right sometimes he needed to write he day on the beach does set you off thinking about past experiences that may have been on the beach elsewhere and you can kind of draw from the landscape around you then to help recreate in your mind that kind of poem but oddly enough I have written one specific poem about the lighthouse that Berry had near bricks which is in my book Ok I'm looking at the one on page 30 which is called the beach which you mentioned a few things ago the sea tragedies in flat dark and oily looking old and tired and barely able to flop on to the bait shellacked that was great oh that's nice a to think that things are military is really good I'm an artist have never been to poems in my life but now I read that and I think that's really cool now I've grown up a little bit. Well they just observational me some put some of my poems wrongly mostly they don't think the fashion these days with poetry is to have prose type poetry as long as they still flow as long as they still have a rhythm they don't have to rhyme and so you know you can do either really I found in my house one should I read that one I'd be delighted if you read if I will I kiss you by the lighthouse and it's beam divides the night and the darkness falls around. Us and the styles begin their flights they swoop down and fly around us like tiny silver birds ready to be witnesses to hear me say the words I tell you that I love you my love is steel than pure that the sky and earth could vanish but my love would still Indio on the cliff at Bury head the lighthouse brands its name and now its flashes rivaled by enduring flame. Well as one of my money that you've already said thank you very much indeed very welcome you wrote to be owner of the euro to your credit guy here I'm just reading it and read a poem on the radio before so it was a 1st for me and I think it's very nice but really get lost revenues and love poems so will this be something that you will now follow up or do you go back to the crime writing how does it work for you I'm going to make them go to. A crime novel coming out next year but I think I've probably got another volume of poetry still in me so I should think over the next year or so I'll be working on that as well and this is the 2nd Poetry Book already That's right I had one a couple of years ago called Dark Heart and it's very much the same sort of poems just recalling it sometimes just see a moment being with someone even a 2nd sometimes it doesn't have to be a full story but sometimes just the way you know the light can see someone's have a rule that somebody dies got a particular wistful look you can build a poem I'm glad to without having told the story although some of them are micro short stories in their own right well it's been very interesting to chat with the u.n. To read some of the poems and I will continue to hang on to the book if I may you may indeed and thank you very much indeed for your interest Oh you're very welcome Nick thanks for coming on so classic books is for 99 and I'm guessing it's available so probably on the sort of Kindle i Pad that kind of thing is well yes it is it's on its own this is a Kindle version it's on the usual online channels as well as through local bookshops out of in trace do you prefer to hold a book as a writer would you if you went on holiday in your time to. Someone else maybe even read through one of your own to see how it goes one of your own to see how it how it reads Would you rather have a book or do you go digital Some people just love to hold a fan of a book well I'm with you on this one I absolutely love to hold a book and I sail each soul to get more from it I mean I've got a Kindle and I bought it to go on holiday but I still find myself packing a paperback instead of taking the Kindle with me I mean that they're great for certain people because you can you know they can you can have a hundreds of books stored in you can do so you've got your own long agree with you at all times but if I'm sitting down for a good quiet read I like a physical book that I can steal a great. Thank you very much. I've introduced this guy doing this song about so many times over the last couple of summers and on your own stand on end when he sings it live it's fantastic and to think it was kept off the number one spot by Joe Dolce and shut up your face. With. Song Vienna and you go through like that one. 0 you're good. I don't think it's good I think it's terrific and it's a travesty that that song was number one and not Vienna I didn't. You know have you got a new 5 in your wallet to have that one yet to feel one because apparently I'm foldable in that kind of past again you can wash that yeah. They did their own breakfast tell you that this is a compact disc look you can put. It and and it still plays and the new 5 looks great so it's kind of made of thin plastic and. Good a little school anyway why only the fiver why not that I want to do much. Churchill's on the back yes the queen's on the front Yes and I don't have a gag order to say about that just a fact they're going to say what was in the middle but really should spare plastic and not until there is a sort of interaction form has more interaction surely competition is what Hayden should have got interaction for you where do you want to go and says interacted with your jolly banter Indeed let's face a interaction. This isn't any any 2 wheels Dartmouth really so they might go out with that tonight was a lot of fun says a fascinating woman. And she says We're talking about they call it the b.b.c. Made a new show with the same you know Mary Berry Paul he would be cold had a pat Maybe the title of Mary Berry show could be called the really fun show gets whole the really bunch of any. Of us I mean to be the really wild show really fun. To bond to just mean the one show as in should be the bunch of maybe there's something that really is not you know yeah there's a show called The Really Wild Show that's right McKay the stock and yeah that so that could be the really fun show anybody I think it was going to be The One Show you have to be the you know that's good I like that and all I stand sliced. Miro I stand a slice No that's gin and tonics just lost and sliced diced the sauce the ice you guys and I see by spread they make bread Ok like those thank you very much to Wales and the other one come up with myself because I think it if you maybe went on to help President show one day. They'd be short staffed and kind to be so. It says of the title but the house. Is really good in fact that it's so good there. The do agree. That's great thank you thank you thank fans that's very good. Sense of my complimentary things about you as well yes I want you to read it with the very. End of it actually with a joke saying this is not about you. a Brownie I joined rainbow as that I was before Brownie. Oh no I don't not one of. My worst impression of a man is removed her. Voice to be. Frank Allen he was in the searches sixty's group needles and pins and needles and pins yes he's come along as well well I say anybody with 2 1st names Frank Allen is fine by me. The latest traffic and travel news from Devon's radio station. Radio Devon. Patch up covering fits on the a 38 accident near the Chudley turning. Broken down car approach with care. And we've got reports of an instant near the Big 3213 The 10 with 2 Shelburne ferries in service until 4 o'clock today. On the trains delays. Between x. Doesn't Davidson due to earlier electrical supply problems traffic busy on the tame operates there is one lane closed heading into Devon for engineering works in a 15 minute wait to ferries running at top point if there's a travel stories always that we're not talking about to let us know and we may just . See. He didn't know I was. A. You know. And. Yet. After producing the show. Putting up with me but it gets better from 1 o'clock every day as we know because assignment always says when I'm only 20 goes the best is yet to come and then I figure very good Simon impression morning of. The year. I've worked with him for 30 years you see on and off mostly off because he won't let me what we're. Going to say you've perfected the I have a I don't obviously base the story as goes because you know you're not you go she drinks you know. But you know yeah but the best is yet to come from 1 o'clock because Devon debate is here and Janet Kipling is our hostess with the most Know Best let me tell you we are all one thing wonderful thing that's her but I do when you see something a phone calls from one place we're going to stay about mobile phones and people using them when the driving is on the front page of the nice papers the r.e.c. Saying it's getting worse. And you know when we last did something on driving which I think was only last week about the deceased no driving behavior a similar thing people we had 2 people ringing in confess to not wearing seat belts so I'm wondering today somebody will ring in and confess to using a mobile phone when they're driving I'm going to throw that out there. Ringing from their mobile phone lines like I really don't see that don't listen to him do you say it was one of if I would do that it would be really you know oh well the message yes we will but you want to add Basically if you did that. I'd like to hear from a bit of honesty and I always encourage that because I always say you know none of us are perfect and some of these things that we talk about yeah we aren't doing them so if you want to confess to that. Then you know ring us and tell us why you do it why you are still doing it when we all know that it's such a bad idea and so dangerous why you still doing what is the compulsion what. The addiction that we have to our phones now that we just can't let go shop in the glove compartment in the weather why can't we do less funny you say that because we actually got a new car a couple of weeks ago with the September Ridge's treasures never bought a car on p.c.p. Before so we're lucky enough to get a car that we probably couldn't afford properly but we've got one on p.c.p. And. There is a reason for this I was showing off of a new car to one of. The my wife's anyway so I just did it come to him in the glove compartment that is where the charger is for the phone and that's the only place for it so if you want to charge your phone you have to put it in the glove compartment and shut the compartment for it to work. Really so you don't see your phone at all so you can't touch excellent So it's not so sitting. Beside you charging away exactly what a good idea and should they ban all sort of hands free kit from cos they can't use the Metol But then that is a bit like saying you mothers will ban a passenger because you're going to look to your left and say hey darling stop playing around with your Kris packet or you know I know all kids in the back you know now the massive destruction isn't it so where do we draw the line on this so I think we can have a good debate about that we going to meet someone a doctor he features in a program on the b.b.c. Tonight called the doctor who gave up drugs and this is very interesting I'm really looking forward to things tonight basically he's taken a load of people who are on long term prescriptions for what he calls lifestyle illnesses so we know what they all back pain depression. Diabetic related to obesity all of that sort of thing because in his belief pills don't really do a lot for those sorts of things and there's a lot of people taking a lot of pills for them so he tries different things including telling woman to go swimming in a freezing cold like I know it's really interesting but also lots of other basic things around health and diet and you know general fitness and I don't know what's happening at the end of the program and they won't tell us obviously they want us to. Watch tonight but that's the aim to get people to give up or cut down on the amount to prescribe drugs and encourage a healthy lifestyle so I'm delighted to say he's going to be joining me today is talk about that and I want to know basically if we pumping too many pills how many pills are you on but so my parents sadly no longer with us but I remember before they died they were those people that have those weak books where the there's a day for all the pills that you know and you have to have some and they seem to be on one thing to counteract side effects of the other thing and Bill I mean they both did so they were old so they didn't do too badly but I did question it at the time about all this describing and then they see a new doctor who would say what you will know is 4 and change it all it's a complicated issue I want to know how many pills you're on Conversely if your hale and hearty in your sixty's seventy's eighty's and never take medication love to hear from you about that so that's another thing that we're talking about today and . Puffin status quo I'm pulling out of out of that concept we're going to ask about old rockers when is it time to hang up your your gets whole your microphone and do you ever get too old to do something that I suppose so rock music modeling those models in the seventy's and eighty's I've seen fashion it is that these things that have particular associated with young people in you do you ever have to kind of draw the line or Gee just keep going radio presenters when we hung up the microphone is that day coming. Should have been last Monday. Night let us know you're Ok And if you'd like to if you've sort of love the Rolling Stones The Beatles or queen or any of these groups still touring still absolutely only again and you want to sing their praises in fact you might pick out some so if you want to you know request songs something maybe would do that as well so sing their praises and simply few. Know if advancing years but still doing things like rocking functional playing in a band or something like that maybe some people would say we want to want to consider how we have from that then let us know we're kinky deal the show it got it from you know from obviously. Going to say she's pregnant before tomorrow night and she's nearly 70 fantastic great and I think he is just being that young girl in the Duggar breaking my heart was 15. But she's still great instilling just that's the thing if you still got the passion and people still want to come and see doing it what not to love. Springsteen or any other how old he is now but he's got to be 60 something and he is playing for our concerts he just broke his record last week somewhere for hours 7 minutes and he plays hard to come. That's the way to do radio and so we wish ripoff it well and we'll listen to you from 1 o'clock on the usual number. With me 3 or $53.00. 34. Just watching your lips. Praising me. It would have been her 33rd birthday yesterday that there was sadness maybe about you know only a 38 x. Of the bell near the Chudley turning 1000000 is blocked due to a broken down car I see a 38 x. Of the brown near the Charlie turning one lane blocked due to a broken down car b. Where Take care and enjoy a journey from 1 o'clock so what else do I need to do today that I'm done apart from be entertaining funny and informative. That's if it's they pretty much. Always laugh and that's it you know we're looking ahead to tomorrow and now yes the rain is on the phone he's coming on to talk to his new book Life experts of survival chief scout has done all releases by popular I know with our listeners he's coming on and we have Frank Allen from the search is needed was some pain now you need to play that want mores while he's coming down to Devon as part of a a tour of the sixty's bands that come together and that are a lot of the country. He's coming on to talk about that good good so I've been suggested by Claire was going to do on News at 1 o'clock to go to slept and sans the softener and found them but what about the weather though is having I know I mean so there when you're lonely you get a weather warning it doesn't look to you about that moment in. Still very warm isn't is that why he made outside. This drive the only one I think you maybe just reskin really gets it yeah I might. Adventure a patsy Yes Slatin sans Brixton bricks I'm sure Brixton in London. Painterly and told by all kinds of talkie I just keep on going with. God are so many places to choose from I was interested when I saw. Germans I thought that was an interesting name but it's called More yeah yeah just over the bridge is it just. Yeah and then People Ok. Here we are who suffer from Christian and Nick in Bridgeport going to get in so early going on having a birthday until at least another one month and a couple of days off again so it's a little too far off you know 55 is wrong for my pension you can call that pension the other private pension. I get a quarter of it apparently tax free and then the rest of it I have to tell a lie because a long way from a job it worked for long what's going on now I think it's still a bit life and yes. I mean that's what we're talking about today when you have Pat I think really got a bit more going you than he just made out you're very kind.
