New Delhi, April 15 (IANS) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh patted Indian Air Force on Thursday for ensuring a timely and befitting response to the sudden developments in eastern Ladakh. China had made attempts of transgression at Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh last year and the air force had rushed in to provide logistic support to Indian Army deployed at forward locations.

In any kind of street combat, fighting on the ground for an extended period can put you in a world of hurt. Although grappling has proved its effectiveness in controlled environments such as the
dojo and the cage, it’s very different on the street—for several reasons. First, you can grapple with only one person at a time, which means you commit yourself to a single threat. Obviously, that exposes you to any additional threats that may exist.
Second, grappling occupies both your hands. If you’re a police officer carrying a gun, knife or Taser, that can pose a weapon-retention problem. While you’re using your hands to control the attacker, he can let go with one hand, remove your weapon from your belt and use it against you. (Many times I’ve overseen drills in which cops have role-played suspects and arresting officers, and the officers’ guns were removed without their knowing it way too often.) ....

PHNOM PENH, April 12 (Xinhua): Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and his Lao counterpart Phankham Viphavanh agreed on Monday to further boost bilateral ties and cooperation for mutual benefit, said a Cambodian foreign ministry s press statement.
The two prime ministers reached the consensus during a bilateral meeting held via a video conference, the statement said.
The two prime ministers expressed their mutual satisfaction for the cordial relations between the two countries based on the bond of traditional friendship and good neighborliness, the statement said. ....

The members were really excited and looking forward to the outdoor activity titled “Land Art” which had been planned for the monthly meeting but sadly, it had to be changed due to the new restrictions because of the spread of the COVID-19 virus. With a ‘never say die’ attitude and proving that they are ready for such contingencies, the committee then organized a virtual meeting via Zoom titled, “Mechancis and their Usage.” ....
