Buncombe County school psychologist charged with felony child sex offense
Chris Reid, a school psychologist for Buncombe County Schools, was charged May 13 with one count of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony. Reid, 69, of Candler, was arrested by the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and remains in the Buncombe County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond. According to a news release by the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office, a search warrant was also executed the evening of May 13 on Reid’s residence to obtain his phones, computers and other electronic devices.
