Supporters and opponents of a Texas bill which would outlaw gender-affirming care for minors made their presence known in the state Capitol on Tuesday. The vote was delayed on a technicality.
Texas state troopers removed hundreds of people from the gallery of the Texas House as protesters chanted and unfurled banners in support of transgender youth.
"We witnessed violence and arrests today against Texans, many of whom are queer and transgender and who would be harmed directly by this bill," an LGBTQ+ advocacy coalition said.
