Feb 3, 2021 BRACEVILLE –Township trustees, who last fall named police Capt. Chad Bernard as interim chief, on Tuesday decided to give him the job. Trustee Chairman Jeff Tucker said Bernard was given a pay increase from $1,200 to $1,225 per month for the part-time job. Trustees selected Bernard because of his knowledge of the police department and community and law enforcement experience, Tucker said. Bernard’s full-time job is at a prison in Youngstown.
