LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Republican Kelly Craft pumped another $2.25 million into her campaign for Kentucky governor, as her family's wealth fuels an advertising blitz in the final run against chief rival Daniel Cameron for the GOP nomination to challenge Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear in November.
Craft has broken two records for a Kentucky gubernatorial primary, using more personal funds and spending more campaign funds than any candidate.
In his complaint, Northern Kentucky suspended attorney and GOP governor candidate Eric Deters argued Craft is not a resident of Kentucky, but of Oklahoma. A Fayette Circuit Court judge denied that argument.
