Missouri Gov. Mike Parson said Tuesday he has no timeline for making a decision on pardoning former Kansas City Police Detective Eric Devalkenaere.
“The one thing that bothered me more than anything about that case was the way the prosecutor handled that in Kansas City,” Parson said during a radio interview on Wednesday.
The family of an ex-Kansas City police officer, found guilty at trial on charges of second-degree involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action, has asked the governor for a clemency.
