After the announcement that several Boston-area hospitals will require employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, Central Massachusetts hospitals had no one answer as to whether they would follow suit.

BOSTON (AP) — Three major Massachusetts hospital systems said Thursday they will require all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, even those who do not have direct contact with patients.

Working with a professor, a Worcester hospital, and Indian friends and colleagues, two students helped secure oxygen concentrators for India.

"We have achieved herd immunity with the vaccine,," said Dr. Eric Dickson, president of UMass Memorial Health.
