With a target completion year set for 2025, Ford, along with its partner SK On, has just short of three years to complete the production complex.
Ford Motor Co. (F) began construction of “BlueOval City”, a $5.6B high-tech assembly plant focused on EV production on Friday.
Ford is building the EV, battery production and supplier campus in West Tennessee with joint-venture partner SK Innovation.
The development, part of the company's $11B investment to ramp up electric vehicle production, is Ford's largest-ever factory project.
