Ant Group, the Chinese fintech giant, has announced a major restructuring of its shareholding structure in a move designed to make the company more transparent and diversified.
According to a statement released by the Chinese fintech juggernaut Ant Group, Chinese businessman Jack Ma will no longer be in charge of the organisation.
The move comes as Ant is nearing the completion of its two-year regulator-driven restructuring.
Jack Ma previously possessed more than 50% of voting rights at Ant but the changes will mean that his share falls to 6.2%
