The conference cannot convene the board of directors until the court decides which schools have voting rights.

Oregon State and Washington State want full control over decision-making for the conference, as the only schools committed beyond the current school year.

A judge has granted a request by Oregon State and Washington State for a temporary restraining order to prevent departing Pac-12 schools from meeting until it can be determined who has the right to be on the disintegrating conference’s board of directors. The ruling came from a judge in Whitman County Superior Court in Washington state. Oregon State and Washington State want full control over decision making for the conference as the only schools committed beyond the current school year. The other 10 schools are leaving for other leagues next summer.

Judge Gary Libey granted the schools with a temporary restraining order that prevents the conference from meeting or attempting to meet until further notice.

A Whitman County judge has ruled the departing members cannot vote or take up any future league business--outside of normal regular financial obligations and day to day business.
