Google in 2021: 5 things we want to see - Android Authority

Credit: Robert Triggs / Android Authority 2020 was an interesting year for Google‘s product portfolio. Its Pixel smartphone range jumped ship from the premium-tier segment to a more inexpensive price point with the Pixel 5. Combined with the Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a 5G, Google’s handset range took a sharp turn down affordability avenue. Google also spent 2020 tinkering with its approach to media streaming. The Galaxy Note series isn’t pulling in strong numbers anymore, either. If nothing else, 2020 proved Samsung is ready to move away from putting 90% of its focus on the premium market. Most of its big wins revolved around its cheaper offerings. The COVID-19 pandemic might have been responsible for at least part of ...

What to expect from smartphones in 2021 - Vimarsana News

What to expect from smartphones in 2021

Credit: Eric Zeman / Android Authority Phones that fold are still a nascent product category. We saw three major efforts during 2020, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Flip 5G, the Galaxy Z Fold 2, and the Motorola Razr 5G. Each of these phones had strengths and weaknesses, though we really liked the Z Fold 2. If there’s one common thread to the foldable phone category, however, it’s outrageous pricing. The Z Flip and Razr 5G cost upward of $1,400, and the Z Fold 2 cost a brutal $1,980. Clearly, the foldables of 2020 were not mass consumer devices. As we head into 2021, it’s fair ...
