khowell@salemnews.net CANFIELD – The South Range school board this week paid tribute to the late former schools superintendent James Alexander Hall. The board approved a resolution recognizing the life and service of Hall, who passed away Feb. 18. Hall served as superintendent of South Range schools from 1986 to 2006. During his time as superintendent, the district was one of only a few to achieve the state’s “excellent” rating every year from its inception in 1999 to his retirement in 2006.
