Attacks in Brussels – several defendants found guilty
Islamists killed dozens of people in the Belgian capital on March 22, 2016. A court has now found several defendants guilty. In addition, the number of victims was subsequently increased. The verdict was handed down by a twelve-member jury after more than two weeks of incommunicado deliberations. According to the Belgian news agency Belga, six defendants have been convicted of terrorist murder. The Reuters news agency, on the other hand, reports eight convictions for murder.
