Following a tense Erwin Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting on Thursday, three groups have come together to propose a collaboration to keep one of Erwin’s most popular festivals going. The Unicoi County Chamber of Commerce, Unicoi County Economic Development Board and RISE Erwin spoke at the Erwin BMA’s work session on Tuesday to propose the three groups join together to rebrand the annual Great Outdoors Festival.

The Erwin Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted to close the Norton Hollow bridge during their meeting on Monday.
