Lawyers for a man accused over the fatal crash that killed a Sarina mother are waiting for road and motor vehicle expert reports before determining what direction the case will proceed.

Police charged Mr Smith, 24, in early December, about two months after the fatal crash south west of Mackay.
The McEwans Beach man is facing one count each of dangerous driving causing death and low range drink driving.

The case against Brent Jordan Smith, who is charged over a fatal crash that killed Sarina mum Tamara Boland, has been adjourned until later this year.
