Delhi Ev Policy 2.0: The Delhi Electric Vehicles Policy-2020 expired on August 8 this year and the government had said that the subsidy being given under it would continue till a new policy gets notified.
Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot has stated that the upcoming Electric Vehicles Policy 2.0 will aim to incentivize the retrofitting of vehicles due to its high cost. The existing policy will be extended for six months or until the new one is finalized. Gahlot mentioned that the government is considering the concept of retrofitting, where people can convert their internal combustion engines to electric ones.
Official announcement recently claimed that the Delhi will be the first in the nation to implement faceless EV retrofitting services from government.
Delhi Govt recently started empanelling authorized companies for EV retrofitting and one such company is GoGoA1, one of the leading companies in EV conversion segment.
