"Everything is Everything" at Temple
Chen Xia is the silence seldom found in this noisy world. Graduating from St. Martin's College of Art where she studied fashion design, she subsequently founded her own design studio to continue her work.Chen Xia and I got to know each other ten years ago in rural Guizhou, where she arrived to explore local handicrafts and plant dyeing after quitting her job. During the ten years since, she has been ceaselessly researching and creating, neither selling any of her work formally nor exhibiting them to the public.
