Meade High hopes the spirit moves them
Neither the Meade High principal nor Athletic Director Kevin Rutledge had ever seen anything like it. It was the start of Saturday night's game against Bethesda-Chevy Chase for the state title in boys basketball at the Xfinity Center in College Park. Peyton Easton, a teacher at MacArthur Middle School was singing the national anthem when he collapsed. A Meade players knew Easton, having attended MacArthur.
