Romain Heinen to step down as head of VAT agency, three years ahead of schedule
As of 30 June 2023, the entirety of Luxembourg’s central administration has brought in revenues of almost €12.9bn, a year-on-year rise of more than 5%, although spending rose by nearly a fifth, the country’s finance ministry announced on Monday.
First quarter revenue increased by 2.3%, but was outpaced by central government’s expenses, resulting in a net deficit of €87m, as reported by the minister of finance Yuriko Backes (DP).
