Article content EXETER – As a COVID-19 outbreak continues within the Exeter Villa, members of the community are looking to the long-term care home and retirement residence and asking how they can help. Stacey Palen, an Exeter resident whose grandmother lives in the Villa’s long-term care side, started a fundraiser while hoping to remind both Villa employees and residents that the community is thinking of them.   MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ONT. -- With 95 new COVID-19 cases added Thursday, the Middlesex-London region now has 4,038 cumulative cases. Two new deaths were also reported, bringing that total to 116. Of the total, the Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) is reporting 2,916 cases have been resolved, leaving 1,006 active cases across the region. Thursday’s total is just over half of the record high daily case count of 161 reported on Tuesday. A much better day for the local health units in regards to COVID-19 Huron Perth Public Health reported only 5 cases. North Perth had 3 cases, while Howick and Stratford each added a case. The Exeter Villa now has 7 positive cases among staff, 31 in the long-term care home side, and still only 1 case on the retirement side. Meanwhile The Middlesex London Health Unit reported only 114 cases were recorded following a record setting 184 on Tuesday.
