I do think there s a fear of the debt which has been hyped by establishment media. if i think jobs and the economy are on the minds of most americans right now. not a debt or the deficit. i think the investment deficit is the one that people would care about if it was presented in a way but the republicans don t have a mandate for what they see. the people do not want an expanding, ever-expanding government that spends incessantly. that s true. how do you reconcile those two opposing needs? there s growth budget. most industrialized countries have an operating and an investment budget. i think we are at a point for a strong recovery, we need demand in the system. that s not left/right, that s common sense. you make an excellent point. the answer is to be honest with the american people. you have to give up some social security, you have to give up some medicare. you can t take on new entitlements the you care about ....
