County Mayor's column: Dump the Christmas tree and pick up a book in local library

We are well into the new year now, however for those of you still holding onto the Christmas tree out the back, Cork County Council is providing a free Christmas tree drop off service at our civic amenity sites up to 31 January.

It is great to be back to physical tours after a hiatus of two years with Covid. So far this summer, my tours across the city’s suburbs for locals have, in particular, been very busy.

A self-guided audio tour of the Shandon historic quarter has been launched by Shandon Area Renewal Association (SARA).

March 2022 marks two years since the Covid-19 pandemic sent us to work from home, bake sourdough and socialise via Zoom.
