Located in the picturesque strip mall on New Ballas Road, just south of Olive Boulevard, Zoya's Express Café features casual European dining highlighted by Mediterranean and Russian flavors. This little spot with indoor and courtyard seating is open for breakfast and lunch and features a menu of salads, gyros, sandwiches, crepes and soups. Zoya's features a chilled borscht soup ideal for enjoying in the warmer weather, and the café makes its own bread and baklava. Brixton businesses are worried about keeping afloat as Tier 3 restrictions are enforced in London. The Government implemented the measures on Wednesday (December 16), the strictest in the Tier system, after a surge in Covid-19 cases across the capital. In Tier 3 retail shops, hairdressers, and supermarkets can all stay open,  but pubs, restaurants, and cafés have been forced to shut at one of the busiest times of year.
