Billions of dollars. they say because it would give us very important knowledge about new deep space technology, solar energy, things we use all the time on earth. secondly, it would give us an idea of what to do if we had an asteroid coming toward earth. we would have handled one. we would find out what sort of minerals are contained inside the asteroids, whether or not it's something we could mine for purposes on earth or to be used in future exploration. bottom line they say, yes,itis expensive, but it's called exploration because you never know what you might find. >> sure don't. thanks, t...
