Baltimore the police commissioner sat down with cnn and acknowledged a divide between the community and the police. there is a lack of trust within this community. period bottom line. that s going to take healing. that s going to take us acknowledging as a a police department, not just here in baltimore but law enforcement as a whole we ve been part of the problem. reporter: the city s fraternal order of police is firing back in a statement saying it wants the mayor to be part of the probe. now, we ve certainly seen these investigations before. most recently of course you remember this jake. the investigation by the doj into the ferguson police department. i was there throughout that entire time that they were investigating. took them about a little over earn six months to get through it. this is a much bigger department with a lot more data to look at. a lot more interviews to do. i mean they really do an extensive, extensive investigation. so i wouldn t expect to see the results ....
