SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 29 — It will soon be possible to unlock your iPhone with a mask on your face, via Face ID. This new feature is expected in the next version of iOS (15.4), currently available in beta. The idea is to be able to reliably use Face ID when wearing a mask, even when wearing glasses....
You can set up Face ID with or without a mask on and if you opt for the mask-on setup, you don't have to wear one during setup
Apple’s description for the Face ID With a Mask feature, however, states that Face ID will work more accurately when it is set up “for full-face recognition only”.
IOS 15.4 beta 1 brings this feature to testers
Soon iPhone users will not need to remove their face mask to log into their devices.
