Clock Tower: Lal Chowk's iconic Clock Tower gets facelift
Srinagar's historic Clock Tower, known as Ghanta Ghar, is being refurbished under the Srinagar Smart City Project, to the delight of locals who hope it will add to the city's hang-out options. The upgrade is part of a wider project which will give a facelift to areas including the central business hub. The completed Clock Tower will feature European design and inject a new sense of life into the heart of the commercial district, according to Athar Amir Khan, the Commissioner of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation and CEO of Smart City.
