Oyo Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, has stated that the police are not under any pressure to release suspects or to avert justice in cases of murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.
In a statement by the spokesperson of the command, Fadeyi Olugbenga, the Oyo police boss held that it was not inclined to denial of justice stemming from any form of social influence.
Especially, the Oyo police command stated that it had arraigned no fewer than three persons since March for cases of conspiracy and murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.
The police later confirmed the attack and the murder of the woman.
Chairman of the Oyo State chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Abubakar Jijji, who confirmed the attack to
Daily Trust, said the action was a setback to the association’s search for peace and harmony.
The Oyo State Police Command, in a statement by its spokesperson, CSP Fadeyi Olugbenga, said at around 9 am on Sunday, it was alerted that some unidentified persons, who were later found to be members of the OPC, had invaded Kajola community.
“The invasion was reportedly aimed at arresting one Wakili, a Fulani by tribe, who is alleged to be the sponsor and mastermind of various criminal attacks against the people/farmers of Yoruba origin in the community.

Police in Oyo State have moved the notorious Fulani warlord, Iskilu Wakili, to the hospital over his frail health.
The police said this in a press statement to confirm Wakili’s arrest on Sunday.
The statement titled, ‘Oyo police assures of diligent prosecution of suspected criminals’, was signed by Ogun Police Public Relations Officer, Fadeyi Olugbenga.
It read in part, “The Oyo State Police Command would like to inform the general public that at about 0900 hrs of date (7th March 2021), information was received that a group of persons, (later found out to be members of the Odua Peoples Congress- OPC), had invaded Kajola community in Ibarapa axis of the State.
