Small farmers have been chastised for not keeping up to date with the latest COVID-19 protocols.
In addition, Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes has urged them to join a cooperative or the Barbados Agricultural Society (BAS), saying not only would farmers be able to access information on the ongoing national pause through these entities but they could also help them sell their produce and items.
His comments came as small farmer Damien Albert Brathwaite, who appeared before the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday, became the first person to be charged with breaking the curfew under the newest directive. ....
