Berlin Library scavenger hunt promotes reading, local businesses   Berlin Library scavenger hunt promotes reading, local businesses   December 28, 2020 03:34PM By Nadya Korytnikova, Record-Journal staff BERLIN — Although the local library put on hold all in-person programs during the pandemic, it still offers family activities this holiday season.   In collaboration with the town’s Economic Development Department, the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library Children’s Department launched a town-wide scavenger hunt with prizes for all participants.  The Booking Around Berlin Community Scavenger Hunt will run until Jan. 31. Twenty local businesses, plus the library, will hang posters of popular children’s book titles in their windows. Participants will have to find each poster and write down the title of the book on their map, which participants can get from a participating businesses, the Berlin Library, or the library website.
