The former President shared his birthday with the Sikh leader and also gave the community its name – Ramgarhia. Inderjit Singh Babbu, the grandson of Giani Zail Singh, was also one of the organisers of the function.
Talking to TOI on Friday, Charuni said, “I will not contest the elections from Punjab but will field candidates for these polls from our party. We are going to launch our political party in Chandigarh on Saturday.”
"Politics has become polluted. There's a need to change it. Policymakers promoting capitalism, policies are being framed to favour capitalists. Nothing is done for common man, the poor. So, we're launching our new party, Sanyukt Sangharsh Party", the BKU leader said.
