Authorities reached out to the public Wednesday for help in identifying a pair of gun-toting thieves who assaulted and robbed two people in a neighborhood near Chula Vista last spring, leaving one of them wounded by gunfire.
The crooks, who appeared to be in their mid- to late 20s, fled in a white 2018-23 Toyota Camry with tinted windows and after-market rims.
The victim was shot in the foot during a robbery reported around 1 p.m. May 11 on Fenton Place east of Interstate 805, Detective Michael Neumann said in a news release Wednesday.
The shooting was reported shortly before 1:10 p.m. at a home on Fenton Place near Euclid Avenue in the unincorporated community of Lincoln Acres
