High winds and tinder-dry fuel loads led to several wildfires across Kansas on Feb. 26.
Dry conditions and strong winds caused a grass fire to get out of control on Tuesday afternoon in Vernon County.
Kansas City reached a record-high 73 degrees on Tuesday, tying the mark in 2016 and 1932. Those temperatures did not last too long shortly after that.
Dangerous wildfire conditions have formed across Arkansas, despite the extremely wet start to 2024.
