SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (April 13, 2021) —The Army is taking action in its ongoing effort to prevent brushfires and their potential threat to more than 30 species of endangered plants and animals by conducting a prescribed burn of the Schofield Barracks training range complex. Tuesday house fire in Portage causes nearly $100,000 in damage

Portage Fire Department - fire on Deerfield Ave. PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Portage fire officials responded to a fire Tuesday afternoon at a home in the 5700 block of Deerfield St. that left nearly $100,000 in damage. They were called just before 4:30 p.m. and when crews arrived, they discovered flames coming from the rear of the structure.  Residents of the home had all made it out safely. No injuries were reported. Evanston Now The fire struck just down the block from Fire Station #4. 1804 Washington St. (EFD photo) A fire that struck a building at 1804 Washington St. in Evanston this evening displaced two residents of the home.
