Winter is an exciting time for galleries to refresh their space and inventory
‘Tis the season to enjoy holiday traditions, like skating on Beluga Lake, taking in the Christmas tree lighting events, preparing your favorite cookie recipe, writing cards, getting tickets to the Nutcracker Ballet, and making plans to attend Homer’s Nutcracker Faire. Between the Faire and December’s Art Gallery First Friday, you are sure to find something for all the loved ones on your holiday shopping list.
First Friday for November shows that as the season grows colder, Homer’s art scene continues to warm with the fire of creativity. New exhibits this month includes an exhibit at Bunnell Street Arts Center of sculptures created using computer technology as well as woodworking made in the old school method by master artists in shows at the Art Shop Gallery, Grace Ridge Brewing and Ptarmigan Arts.
