COLUMBIA-  The City of Columbia entered a 30-year agreement to purchase the power from the Truman Solar facility, a 10-megawatt solar farm situated south of Interstate 70 and east of Burnside Drive. The Truman Solar 10 MW facility was first approved in December 2018 when the City Council approved an amendment for a power purchase agreement with Truman Solar. Officials say it happened around 8:40 p.m. According to a news release, the victim said someone came up to his car and tapped on the window with what appeared to be a handgun. The victim said the suspect demanded the vehicle. The victim said he was able to drive away before calling 911.  The victim described the suspect as a tall, thin Black male with facial hair.
