DRIVERS are stuck in long tailbacks following an accident on a major road.

THERE was slow traffic for miles after a three-vehicle crash on the A27 this morning. One lane was closed after the collision involving a van and two cars on the A27 eastbound between the A259 Havant Road (Emsworth Junction) and A259 Cathedral Way (Fishbourne Roundabout). Traffic was reported to be queuing for three miles according to the AA, and there were 20 minute delays reported westbound. A 25-year-old was killed and a teenager suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision between Chichester and Emsworth. The pair were travelling eastbound along the A27 in a VW Golf at 11.40pm when the car was involved in a a crash. The 25-year-old driver from Havant was pronounced dead at the scene and a 19-year-old man, also from Havant, suffered life-threatening injuries.
