It was supposed to kick in now, but the worry was that if basically you set this new requirement and so few female marines could meet it, well, if you fail a fitness rep, you get a black mark on your fitness evaluation. then you've got to go for remedial training. the marines were very worried this was something that could push a lot of female marines out of the service. they don't want that. they say there has been no decision on whether they'll implement the changes in 2015, but they're against a timeline in which 2016 is a year in which a lot of these combat roles are supposed to be open to...
