The videos and pictures shared on social media show a swarm of bees on the winglet of the Airbus A320, which ended up delaying the flight of the plane.
Ms Schaper asserted that the flight was further delayed when a passenger left her seat to use the lavatory while the rice was being cleaned up, preventing the flight from taking off.
According to aviation tracking company Flight Aware, more than 5,400 flights of Southwest Airlines were delayed, while over 100 were cancelled
