A Christchurch-based company has had its application for a liquor licence to operate a bottle store in Timaru declined. The application from Gulati Brothers Enterprises Ltd, which was heard by the Timaru District Council District Licensing Committee on Monday, hoped to establish bottle store at 155b Hilton Highway, near trampoline business Flip Out Timaru in the town’s industrial hub at Washdyke. In its decision released on Friday, the committee, which consisted of former TImaru District councillor Dave Jack, and councillors Peter Burt and Gavin Oliver, declined the application.
