Detectives investigating a brawl in Rockdale on the weekend have arrested two further people.
Police were called to a sports field on West Botany Street, Rockdale, just after 5pm on Sunday (25 April 2021), after a brawl broke out between spectators at a soccer match.
When officers from St George Police Area Command and the Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS), arrived the crowd started to disperse.
Three men were taken to St George Hospital suffering minor injuries. Police have been told the men were armed with metal star pickets, bricks, flares and plastic crates.
Strike Force Azure was formed to investigate the incident and, following inquiries, a 23-year-old man was charged with being armed with intent to commit indictable offence, and riot. ....
