A 17-year-old school girl in Tamil Nadu died on Wednesday, days after she drank poison alleging abuse by her hostel warden and an attempt to convert her family to Christianity.
The school had allegedly forced Lalita to convert to Christianity saying that she has to change her religion if she wanted to study further. But the girl refused.
A complainant alleged that the girl was forced to clean toilets and wash dishes in the school hostel when she resisted conversion attempts, following which she tried to end her life and eventually succumbed.
